Meet Mindy
Mindy Jones
MS · LPC Associate · Counselor
"I didn't want to help people because I have all the answers. I do it because I've lived through the questions."
Mindy specializes in working with individuals — particularly women in midlife — who are navigating betrayal, identity loss, anxiety, spiritual disillusionment, and the quiet exhaustion of holding everything together while quietly coming apart. She doesn't sit behind clinical distance. She shows up as someone who has lived through her own hard seasons and knows what it actually takes to find your way back.
Her story
She shows up because she knows what it's like
to lose yourself so gradually you didn't notice —
until one day you did.
Mindy has a particular heart for women who are high-functioning on the outside and quietly unraveling on the inside — women who have spent years showing up for everyone else while their own needs, desires, and sense of self got smaller and smaller. Whether you're navigating betrayal trauma, narcissistic abuse recovery, midlife identity shifts, anxiety, or the spiritual disillusionment that comes when faith no longer answers the questions you're actually asking — this is a space where all of that is welcome without judgment.
"I've known what it's like to lose yourself trying to hold everything together — to question your faith, your worth, your choices, and still keep showing up."
She's walked through heartbreak, spiritual disillusionment, and the kind of inner unraveling that forces you to rebuild from the inside out. These experiences didn't just humble her — they taught her how to sit with people in the raw, unfiltered places of their lives without needing to fix them. They made her more present, more attuned, and more aware of the parts within herself and others that we often hide, dismiss, or despise.
Before becoming a therapist, Mindy served as a worship leader and led a freedom and inner healing ministry — creating environments where people felt safe enough to be seen, long before she had clinical language for what she was doing. That instinct didn't come from a textbook. It came from living.
"Healing isn't about fixing what's wrong with you. It's about remembering who you are beneath what hurt you."
In sessions, Mindy creates space to slow down — to listen to the parts of you that have been exiled, silenced, or misunderstood, even by yourself. She holds space not just for your pain, but for your complexities, your contradictions, your quirks, and your desire to be seen. She considers it a profound honor to walk alongside someone on the journey of becoming whole and fully belonging.
Mindy is also a poet, published under the name MJ Lee Poetry, and is currently writing a three-part memoir — The Sacred Return Series — that traces her own journey and the long way back to self. Her creative life and her clinical life aren't separate. They inform each other in ways that give her work a texture most therapy rooms don't have.
A special focus
For women navigating the
season nobody prepares you for — midlife.
Mindy has a deep passion for walking alongside women in their 35–55 years — a season that often brings invisible upheaval. Perimenopause and menopause aren't just physical transitions. They can shake a woman's sense of identity, desire, emotional stability, and her relationship with her own body and voice. And far too often, she is expected to manage it quietly while still showing up fully for everyone else.
This is a space where that season is taken seriously — not minimized, not medicalized, not rushed. Whether you're navigating the hormonal and emotional shifts of perimenopause, the identity recalibration that comes with midlife, or the quiet grief of watching one version of yourself fade while the next hasn't fully emerged — Mindy gets it. She's not just trained in this. She lives in this season too.

Clinical approach
How Mindy works with
individuals.
Mindy's approach is integrative, depth-oriented, and tailored to who you are. She draws from IFS, Relational Life Therapy, Existential, and Narrative approaches — helping you reconnect with your own wisdom and rebuild trust in yourself. Sessions are collaborative, grounded, and paced to support nervous system regulation, self-trust, and lasting change.
Internal Family Systems
Understanding the inner parts driving reactivity, shutdown, and self-protection — so you can show up with more intention and less shame.
Narrative Therapy
Reauthoring the stories you carry about yourself — finding the thread of who you are beneath what happened to you.
Existential Therapy
Sitting with the deeper questions of meaning, identity, and purpose — especially in seasons where faith and self have both felt uncertain.
Trauma-Informed Care
Recognizing how the nervous system holds past wounds — and creating the safety needed for real healing to happen.
Childhood to Adult Mapping
Connecting present-day patterns to earlier experiences — not to blame, but to understand why you respond the way you do and how to change it.
Faith-Integrated Care
A space where your faith, your questions, and your spiritual journey are welcomed as part of the healing — never imposed, always honored.
Mindy also offers couples counseling and coaching alongside her husband David Hull, Relational Life Coach, through a dual-provider model at Becoming to Belong Counseling & Coaching. If you're navigating relational struggles together, that may be the right starting point.
